Instant Pot BBQ Short Ribs
A perfect beginner recipe for Instant BBQ short ribs. This recipe is perfection: delicious, juicy, fall off the bone and melt in your mouth kind. Serve this with a side of potato salad, corn or salad.

- 3 lbs beef short ribs membrane removed
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp liquid smoke
- 1/4 cup apple juice or apple cider vinegar optional
- 1 cup bbq sauce sweet baby ray's
- 3-4 tbsp dry rub see below
Seasoning
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper use less for less spice
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt or to taste
Season your ribs with the seasoning listed above or use any store bought seasoning. Be sure to rub in the seasoning on all sides so its well coated.
Allow the ribs to marinate it in the seasoning for at least 1 hour. Longer the better.
In your Instant Pot, add broth, liquid smoke, apple juice or apple cider vinegar.
Place the Ribs inside the Instant pot and close the lid and turn the knob to sealing position.
Pressure cook for 45 minutes + 20 minutes of natural pressure release.
Release any remaining pressure. Place the ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet. Brush on BBQ sauce on all sides.
Broil the ribs in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes. Enjoy!
